UN High Commissioner For Refugees- Filippo Grandi’s First Visit To Turkey

South-east Turkey is home to over 1 million Syrian refugees – 220,000 of them living in camps. Turkey as a whole has welcomed 2.5 million Syrians and hundreds of thousands of other refugees from Iraq and beyond. It is the largest refugee-hosting country in the world.
